Greg Pennicott Safaris is a family run business based in Oatlands, Tasmania.
Greg has been hunting for 22 years all over Australia and New Zealand, New Caledonia, Alaska, Montana and Wyoming. He has been Guiding in Australia and New Zealand for 14 years and has a vast knowledge of both countries and the game they have to offer. With this in mind he has put together Safaris to suit all requirements
The first hunt Greg has to offer is on our Watervalley Station situated 3 hours drive south east of Adelaide in South Australia. The station has around 100,000 acres of enclosed deer fencing where there are Elk, Fallow, Axis, Red, Moluccan Rusa, Javan Rusa and Sambar Deer, Water Buffalo and Feral Goat. The best time to hunt Watervalley is April - July. Accommodation is a comfortable cottage on the station with home-cooked meals. Hog Deer are available from other game ranches.
Our Buffalo Hunts are conducted approximately 300 kms (186 miles) south of Darwin at Katherine. Katherine is world famous for its Gorge, spectacular scenery and tropical climate, so if you chose a hunt at Katherine you will experience far more than just a "hunt".
Accommodation and meals is in one of Katherine's hotels with a swimming pool to relax in at the end of a hot day's hunting. Or experience the Bush and camp out under the stars with the traditional Arnhemland Hunt on our large concession.
Greg also offers safaris in New Zealand, hunting Thar, Chamois, Red Stag, Sika, Whitetail, Elk & Arapawa Sheep.
Greg also supplies rifles and ammunition, although if you wish to bring your own rifle you may do so but Greg will need at least two months to arrange for import permits. Please note that due to current Australian Law no Semi-Automatics or Pistols will be allowed into this country.
